Your browser computes a cryptographic SHA-256 digest of the raw file bytes using the Web Crypto API before a single byte leaves your machine. The resulting 64-character hex digest is written to your Firestore asset record — an unforgeable timestamp of the original content.
A unique licenseTokenId is assigned and bound to the content hash in your vault record. If a studio wants to license your work, their contract references this token. If your work appears without it, you have proof of origin and proof of unauthorized use.
